An Insider said: Tibetan Buddhism is characterized by the practice of various yogas

“Should a Buddhist university really be doing such things?”

A three-year, three-month, three-day silent Buddhist retreat takes an unusual twist, ending in death in the desert mountains of Arizona.

And, yes: yoga and Buddhism have exactly zero to do with each other

Completely misinformed. Tibetan Buddhism is characterized by the practice of various yogas. It would be more true to say that the Western suburbanite's understanding of yoga has little to do with yoga.

Lama Admits that Sex in Tantric Practices is for Pleasure

I found this statement by a Western lama on another forum:

"The reason why the conduct of a Tibetan monk is kept secret from lay people is so that lay people will not criticize monks. ... part of the reason for this is that all Tibetan monks are Vajrayana monks, and so if their conduct seems to be not in keeping with Hinayana [sic] vows, they might get into trouble. Vajrayana monks are not under the same restrictions as Hinayana monks. When one understands the fundamental principle of Vajrayana conduct is to engage sense objects and enjoy them for one's own pleasure, it changes the game of how one understands a Vajrayana monastic's conduct. The monastic thing is merely an outer show. It's not the essence of the practice."

Broken hearted in France: I am tired of Dharma politics. I want to change the system for a system that doesn’t involve abuse of power or abuse of money.

Broken hearted in France

I am at Kagyu Ling, my oldest center in France.

Kagyu Ling was home of the first Three-year retreat center in the west. This was my predecessor’s gift to the west in 1976. Where are all the trained and qualified lamas? Where are all the old students? On the other hand I see a lot of tourists. If you look at the retreat centers today, they are empty, abandoned and pitiful. This is shameful. This breaks my heart.

Confessions of Kalu Rinpoche: I've been sexually abused by other monks. I don't want (Tibetan) Buddhism to get involved in business politics.

Kalu junior. Authorized by rGyal-ba Rinpoche (= Dalai Lama) as the reincarnation of the Kalu Rinpoche who took June Campbell as his tantric consort.

TK’s comment to picture:

The Kalu junior is absolutely not the reincarnation of the Kalu Rinpoche. The old Kalu as a monk practiced the tantric teachings which breaks the Buddhist precepts and has to go to the hell. Kalu junior is the reincarnation of himself, not of someone else.

Kalu junior has been educated in the system/school of Lamaism and believes what he has learned is Buddhist teachings. He does not know they are fake. But he is a very very brave person who dares speak out the darkness of Tibetan Buddhism. And he is also brave to plan to reform the system of Lamaism. From my heart, I wish him would recognize the true Buddhist dharma one day and push the lama system to the right path.

An insider of the Lamaism speaks the truth: The monastic thing is merely an outer show!

Found this on Dharma Wheel, a Tibetan Buddhism forum, and it is written by a lama:

I just found this, posted by a Western lama in a discussion forum:

Part of the reason behind this is that all Tibetan monks are Vajrayana [tantric] monks, and so if their conduct seems to be not in keeping with Hinayana vows, they might get into trouble.
