A Buddhist monk accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl over two years at a southwest suburban temple lured her with the promise of work and later threatened her and paid her money to prevent her from reporting the alleged abuse, authorities said Friday.

Un vídeo sexual es uno de los pocos escándalos que le faltan al abad del templo de Shaolin, la milenaria cuna del kung-fú. La posibilidad no es remota, porque han sido descubiertas en su habitación varias cámaras ocultas, una de ellas enfocando a su cama. Del abad Shi Yongxin se sospecha que aliña sus horas de meditación con placeres más prosaicos. El templo ha tenido que puntualizar varias informaciones en los últimos años. Por ejemplo, cuando se publicó que tenía como amante a una universitaria pequinesa, un hijo ilegítimo viviendo en Alemania y cuentas en bancos extranjeros por valor de 3.000 millones de dólares, el templo alegó que solo prestaba apoyo financiero a la mencionada estudiante. Y cuando cayó en una redada policial contra la prostitución, el templo sostuvo que estaba "prestando servicios espirituales" a las señoritas.

It's been around in the wings for several decades already, yet only recently has Buddhism begun to venture out towards mainstream German society. And it would seem that a growing number of people like what they see.

Although it is difficult to do a reliable headcount of the number of German Buddhists in Germany, the German Buddhist Union (DBU) estimates there are about 130,000 practioners. And there appears to be an increased interest in the religion in the nation's traditionally Christian population.

"We are definitely experiencing an upwards trend," said Helge Latenza of the DBU Head Office, "but it is a gentle curve."

Der kleine Exilpalast des Dalai Lama nahe dem nordindischen Bergstädtchen Dharamsala liegt auf einem 1.800 Meter hohen Bergrücken vor der imposanten Felskulisse des Himalayas. Jeden Morgen ziehen Hunderte Pilger aus aller Welt auf einem Spazierweg um das Gebäude. Der Weg ist geschmückt mit Gebetsfahnen und Protestplakaten für ein freies Tibet.

An diesem Tag empfängt der Dalai Lama gegen Mittag in seinem bunt blühenden Garten einige ausgewählte Anhänger: eine Gruppe Russen, ein altes tibetisches Paar, eine koreanische Familie, eine Schweizerin mit zwei kleinen Kindern und einen indischen Soldaten. Der Dalai Lama begrüßt und umarmt seine Gäste. Die Koreaner weinen. Als die Schweizerin sich dem Dalai Lama an die Brust wirft und ruft: "Ich liebe Sie!", zuckt er zurück. Wenig später empfängt er in einem Raum mit gedämpftem Licht zum Interview.

In the Buddha dharma, the mirror is also called the “Mani jewel or Diamond true mind, etc.” which every sentient being innately possesses. This Mani jewel manifests one’s physical body and one’s seeing, hearing, perceiving and knowing mind. Then one’s physical body and the seeing, hearing, perceiving and knowing mind arise and vanish, arise again and vanish again life after life relying on this everlasting Mani jewel that remains unstirred, the same way as that of a mirror purely reflecting the images on its surface.

The Thai media seem to love it when they can catch a monk in a compromising situation. Either being drunk or eating at a restaurant with a woman. But this one posted today on YouTube is a classic “caught in the act” for this Thai monk from a temple in Khon Kaen. Monks are not allowed to be alone with women but this one was caught by police alone in a hotel room with a 21 year old prostitute. Apparently he paid her 400 Baht (US$13.40) to sleep with her. It feels like almost every day now that there is a monk on the news for the wrong reason. What do you think, are the days of Buddhism numbered or are these still isolated incidents?

Thailand’s Khantitham Forest Monastery is facing tough times. It’s abbot, Luang Pu Nenkham Chattigo, has been barred from transferring money out his bank accounts by Thailand’s Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO).

The 34-year-old monk has been attracting attention ever since a video of him flying a private jet while wearing aviator sunglasses, carrying a Louis Vuitton bag went viral last month. A widely-circulated photograph of him lying next to an apparently naked woman caused further outrage in Thailand, which has the world’s largest Buddhist population, and where monks are supposed to be celibate.

A Buddhist monk, who caused controversy after he was filmed travelling on board a private jet , has had his assets frozen and is at the centre of a sex scandal.

Luang Pu Nenkham Chattigo, who is the abbot of Thailand’s Khantitham Forest Monastery, received the ban from the country’s Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO), amid suspicions of money laundering and fraud.
Chattigo and his associates reportedly have 16 bank accounts, of which around ten are involved in daily transactions of up to 200 millon Baht (£4m), the Bangkok Post reports.

If we take the three scenarios and change the subjects in them into human beings, you can see that the first group of people are most ignorant and have the least wisdom because they cannot even tell that the image in the mirror is not real.

His Holiness: What should I say? In Kalachakra, for achieving a devoid form (stong-gzugs), you need supreme unchanging bliss (mi-'gyur-ba'i bde-ba). Kalachakra speaks a great deal about the necessity for maintaining non-weakened seminal energy-drops and therefore not losing semen. That being the case, then if a person practicing the Kalachakra complete stage is a male, it would seem that it is pervasive with the person abandoning home life (rab-byung) and becoming celibate. But, I wonder if that is so? I don't know.

Here we can see that the Three Dharma-Seals actually describes two classes of dharma in the dharma-realm.

These two kinds of dharma are entirely different from each other in nature, with one class being the dharma of an arising-and-ceasing nature and the other a neither-arising-nor-ceasing nature. The latter is nirvana, or the eighth vijnana Tathagatagarbha.
